Welcome to the first issue of The Hiss for Season 2018! (insert crowd roar!)
For families joining us from Auskick and our new Cobras jumping on board, The Hiss is the must-read email hitting your inbox if you are wanting to keep up to date with all things OGCCFC. Welcome!
We have lots to look forward to and lots to fill you in on. So here's our top 5 most exciting things for the season start.....
1. Cobras & Grubbers Framework.
As you know our Collendina Cobras Junior Footy Club is aligning with Ocean Grove Football Club to ensure junior footy pathways are the best they can be for this town! What does this mean? Essentially the end aim is for non-competitive footy, where the kids require skill development, team nurturing and game foundations, will fall under the Cobras banner. Top age and competitive levels will fall with the Grubbers. It's an exciting time for the town and this new approach will roll out over the next few years, starting this year with our Under 15's moving over to the Grubbers, Auskick aligning with the Cobras and next year Under 13's transitioning to Grubbers.
2. Auskick joining the Snake Pit.
Ocean Grove Auskick will now be known as Ocean Grove Cobras Auskick and the snake pit will be ready for the littlies from Friday 20 April at 5.30pm. You can email email@example.com for any Auskick related queries.
3. New playing age levels.
AFL Barwon have introduced new playing age groups this year, so we're excited to now field Under 9 teams, Under 10 teams, Under 11 teams and Under 13's.
4. Coaching appointments.
All of our 2018 coaching positions have been appointed and we are thrilled with the skill, knowledge and enthusiasm of our team. Keep a close eye out on our Facebook page and future Hiss editions for profiles on our coaches. We're also thrilled to appoint skills and specialist coaches to training sessions and OGCCFC's first ever female coach!!
5. Season Gala Day.
We've saved the best for last. We are kicking off the season with a Cobras Gala Day. Come and meet our coaches, test your fitness with Emily Hayward Personal Training, sharpen your skills, add to your Cobras wardrobe or just have some fun! Registration opportunities too.
